This was an incredible collaboration between myself, The Bee Collective, and their bees. As a former Entomologist at University of California at Berkeley, I engaged in interesting research examining the frequency with which worker bees can lay eggs. My published research led me to create this piece which is a symbol of commodified, industrialized control of reproduction and its relationship to the breeding of slaves.
